PENDAHULUAN

Salah satu penggerak mula dari kelompok mesin pembakaran dalam atau motor bakar torak yang menggunakan beberapa silinder yang di dalamnya terdapat torak yang bergerak translasi (bolak-balik) dan di dalam silinder terjadi pembakaran antara bahan bakar dengan oksigen dari udara yaitu Mesin Disel. Yang perlu diperhatikan oleh pengguna mesin disel antara lain pebandingan kompresi, sistem bahan bakar, penyemprotan bahan bakar, pompa bahan bakar, proses pembakaran dan bahan bakar, ruang bakar, dan konstruksi umum mesin disel, serta perawatannya.
